Blessing wind

I wish farting was more socially acceptable. 

Not that I am a very gassy person, but on the occasion that I accidentally ingest wheat, I get killer stomach cramps from gas. If it were socially acceptable to just fart in public, I wouldn't have walked around with insane stomach pain today.

Why do people think that "toot" or " blessing wind" is less offensive than saying fart? You have gas, you farted. It's not any less gross because you used a different word. it's still air blowing out of your arse.

I received a Hogwarts acceptance letter this morning. So my next week will probably be spent in Diagon Alley getting things in order before I leave!

Ok, done being a huge dork.  

I had a great Christmas! We had 16 people for dinner and since I did all the cooking, I didn't have to do any clean up.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.

And now for a week off !!!!!

My brother and his fiance broke up this summer. He is dating someone new and is head over heels for her, and her son.

I've never seen him like this. He is happy and confident. He is so in love with his girlfriend's son. I knew he always wanted kids, but seeing him interact with this little guy... he's a natural.

I am extremely happy for my brother; and a bit jealous. How is it that he is single 3 months and find a women that seems perfect for him? I've been single for 3 years and I can't even find someone that want to go on a date with me.

Someone told me "Good things come to those that wait"... another one of those sayings I don't particularly believe.

Spelt Pizza Dough

Today my sister and I tried our hands at some wheat free pizza dough. We use this recipe and added flax seeds and Salba.  The dough didn't really"behave" the way wheat dough does, it was really tough to knead and roll onto the pan.

We loaded it up with veggies and a bit of cheese ( to kept the GI lower) and popped it in the oven.

We were both surprised at how quick it was to make and bake, only about 30 minutes!

Overall the pizza was pretty good, although next time I think I will make it a thinner crust.
